Metallic Patterns

Final front render

I absolutely love this metallic patterned fabric. Except, it is an absolute pain to make. Let’s see the first version of it–

Ah yes, this messy beauty.

Maybe you have noticed that the patterns are different– because SOMEONE (cough *me cough) didn’t save the texture painting metallic map image!

I absolutely forgot we needed to manually save the image. So I rendered this one, and when I went to render another angle, the picture has disappeared and I needed to make a new one. Here are the renders with that pattern and the same scene:

Well, then I decided that maybe messy wires wasn’t the way to go. I thought, maybe a randomly extruded solid coloured background?

It’s not that bad…

I decided that it was beautiful. It wasn’t a rejected render– it simply got second place. You see, my pink themed stuff doesn’t usually make it this far, which is why I really appreciate this one. However, I really think it can be better.

I searched up some colour pallets and got this one of colors.dopely.com.

Pretty, especially the green!

And so I changed my palette to match this one. I also realised that my previous render was a bit too dark, so I also tweaked the lighting.

One of those pictures, I’m gonna guess you already know which one, it is quite obvious from the missing pixels, is not done. Reason? well– weak laptop problems. One day I’ll get a new one hopefully LOL. I will finish the second picture and maybe add a third picture very soon when my laptop has been refreshed.
